Intake Checklist: Residency & Visas

Prepare these documents before opening a residency or visa case. Requirements vary by visa category — items marked with a category tag only apply if you are applying for that specific visa type.

All Visa Applications

  • [ ] Passport (photo page, all pages with existing UAE stamps or visas, valid ≥ 6 months)
  • [ ] Current UAE visa or entry stamp page (if in the UAE)
  • [ ] Recent passport-size photo (white background, taken within 6 months)
  • [ ] Proof of UAE address:
  • [ ] Tenancy contract (EJARI-registered) or
  • [ ] Property title deed

Golden Visa — Property Route

  • [ ] UAE property title deed (property value must meet AED 2 million threshold)
  • [ ] DLD valuation certificate (from RERA-approved valuer, if property value needs verification)
  • [ ] Mortgage statement (if property is mortgaged, showing equity above threshold)

Golden Visa — Company Route

  • [ ] UAE trade license
  • [ ] Company MoA with shareholder details
  • [ ] ICA approval letter (if previously applied) or initial assessment

Investor / Establishment Visa

  • [ ] UAE trade license
  • [ ] Establishment card (for employee sponsorship under the entity)

Employment Visa

  • [ ] Employment contract or offer letter
  • [ ] Employer trade license
  • [ ] Educational certificates (attested if professional licensing applies)

Family Sponsorship

  • [ ] Sponsor's passport, Emirates ID, and visa page
  • [ ] Marriage certificate (attested, for spouse visa) with certified Arabic translation
  • [ ] Birth certificates (attested, for child visas) with certified Arabic translation
  • [ ] Sponsor's salary certificate or proof of income meeting DLD/ICP minimum thresholds

Renewal Cases

  • [ ] Existing Emirates ID (front and back)
  • [ ] Current visa page
  • [ ] Updated proof of address if address has changed
  • [ ] Recent passport-size photo
